Flying to Paris? Try New Paris in PJ

Again, staying in ss2 for some time. But seldom been to the infamous New Paris which has been recommended by HoChak. And this is my FIRST time to try the Champagne chicken which i like to call it as 'watermelon chicken'. I happened to be there to have dinner with my family not long ago. This is my second time to dine in in this restaurant. Well, it was not so crowded during weekdays but definitely it will be packed if you pay a visit on weekend. No worries, there are a lot of parking lots and there are a few parking attendances to serve the customers. FYI, New paris has enuf space to serve u because it is a two-storeys-shop. Now, let your saliva drivel from your mouth~~

New Paris/新巴黎

Champagne Chicken ( I like the watermelon...)

(Story behind the chicken) I always called this dish as 'watermelon chicken' before i was told this is Champagne Chicken. When the captain finished telling us the dishes, i asked 'got the watermelon chicken ah?'
Then, he told me that 'ohh..that is the champagne chicken i mentioned just now..' Paiseh....haha

chick.. chick..chicken

Batin fish ( the fish meat is very fresh and smooth)

Nothing special but VEGIE..HA HA

famous dish: Minced Pork Toufu

PS: if you are in a hurry, you will definitely have to count on this restaurant because the time for them to serve the dish is short! After you place order, the food is served within 10 minutes.

Quick! Tell Us What KUTGW Means

As text-messaging shorthand becomes increasingly widespread in emails, text messages and Tweets, people are scrambling to decode it.

One reason for the surge in texting abbreviations—more than 2,000 and counting, according to NetLingo—is the boom in social-media sites like Twitter, where messages are limited to 140 characters. Text messages, too, are limited in length, so users have developed an alphabet soup of shorthand abbreviations to save time, and their thumbs.

Taking time to learn the jargon may seem like a WOMBAT (“Waste of money, brains and time”). But with over one trillion text messages sent and received in the U.S. last year, according to CTIA-The Wireless Association, an industry trade group, you run the risk of feeling out of it if you don’t.

Say What?

A sampling of some popular shorthand texting terms.

* UG2BK . . . . . . . You got to be kidding
* GBTW. . . . . . . . Get back to work
* NMP . . . . . . . . . Not my problem
* PIR . . . . . . . . . . Parent in room
* GFTD. . . . . . . . . Gone for the day
* FYEO. . . . . . . . . For your eyes only
* BI5 . . . . . . . . . . Back in five minutes
* DEGT . . . . . . . . Don’t even go there
* BIL . . . . . Boss is listening
* PAW. . . . Parents are watching
* 99 . . . . . . Parents are no longer watching
* PCM . . . . Please call me
* IMS. . . . . I am sorry
* TOY. . . . . Thinking of you
* KUTGW. . Keep up the good work
* CID . . . . . Consider it done
* FWIW. . . For what it’s worth
* HAND . . . Have a nice day

Just Thai

What comes into your mind when someone mentions Thai cuisine? Well, for me, i will think of pineapple fried rice. I decided to give Just Thai a try..The lighting is dim and it looks romantic.
Just Thai is located at 1-u GF near the breadshop which sells RotiBoy.

The craft work is magnicent

Set meals

Crispy Spring Roll served with Thai Chili Sauce (I like the sauce because it stimulates the appetite)

Green Curry Chicken

Stir-Fried Bean Curd with hot Brazil leaves

Stir-Fried Kangkung with Belacan

Water chestnut with coconut milk (IT is quite special because the water chestnut is enclosed with the flour. But the ice is not smooth as they fine ice cubes)

Whole sets which cost RM40++

Overall, it is not worth it because the portion is small and strictly speaking it is like individual portion rather than two person's. And this set is quite spicy. Therefore, for those who don't like spicy at all, don't pick this one.

You can have 10% discount if you are a member of ONEcard.

Sushi sushi yummie!

First of all, thank you ML. Yes, ML. If you happen to read this post, once again thank you for giving me a memorable day.
I've been living in SS2 for the past few years. But never got a chance to pay a visit to this Sushi Tomo. And i heard about how great is the salmon and sashimi in this Japanese house but just duno why never thought of going there.
Thank you ML for bringing me there and i'm sure we did enjoy every moment there.

Sushi Tomo @ SS2 (next to Wong Kok)

Dining house with some Japanese feel. Yeah..some because you could look for others which you can really feel that you are just like dining in some authentic Japanese cuisine house.

'Sushi' Menu ( a bit klunky)

You gotta key in your order using the touch screen monitor instead of manual order. No worries, there is always someone to guide you if you do not know how to operate it.

'O Cha'

Yuuhoo....my favourite- Salmon . No fishy smell and it is fresh. It seems like it will be melted once you put in your mouth..OMG...I'm drooling over the salmon...

Rainbow Sushi- recommended by the chef. But i dun really agree that it is so special enuf to have a chef recommendation.

Yakiniku Bento with salad. tofu, chicken meat, grilled fish and preserved ginger.

Saba Shioyaki-with teriyaki, salad, tofu and preserved ginger.
i was disappointed with the teriyaki because the seaweed should be crispy. But it has become soft by the time it was served.

Align Left
The bento sets come with the rice and also the watermelon.

Friendster? Facebook? cafe

Well, I'm not taking about the communication network as in Facebook or Friendster that link you to your friends or any game in friendster. LOL..It's actually a cafe (a real cafe) in Damansara Perdana WHERE PEOPLE MEET 365 DAYS A YEAR. This is my second time been to this place and i was quite disappointed because i was hoping to see Mini CooperS there. There was a mini cooper gathering when i first went there. But it seems like no such thing anymore. That was the exterior of the cafe. Wat about interior? The ambiance is not as romantic as the 1st time i been there and one section which has cosy seats was closed down that day. So, if you really wanna look for a quiet place to yumcha, you can give it a try. But if you are looking for some places which are more happening, i wouldn't recommend it. Perhaps you still can try its foods. Here comes the FRIENDSTER CAFE!

Friendster cafe @ Plaza Emerald

Interior (1)

Interior (2)

Boxed candle

Beverages - all kinds of friendstercino

Cappuccino (The cappuccino looks better if there is some caramel on the surface!)

Spaghetti lovers!! Calling for spaghetti lovers! Pizza Milano at 1-u (near tgv cinema) is offering a variety of spahetti, pizza and ice-cream topping waffer. And it is economical as well. So, what are u waiting for? You should give it a try. For your information, it is always packed with customers during the meal time.

pizza house

Klunky menu although it looks okay in the picture

Fancy menu

Fettuccine Carbonara-creams cheese sauce,carbs butter, chicken bologne & mushroom
(I can't take this because the cheese is very strong since i'm not a cheese lover)

Meat Ball Marinara- savour the authentic taste of meat with a combination of herbs and chopped tomatoes

As a conclusion, what i would say for this is the spaghetti tastes better than the one i had at delifrance except for their chicken meat balls.

Karena Lam @ Neutrogena 3D Fairness

Karena Lam? Are u confusing who is this Karena? Well, if you do. 林嘉欣 (Lam Kar Yan), the Hong Kong actress, would sound familiar to u i guess. Actually, i wasn't sure who is the ambassador of Neutrogena before this. Or i don't even know Neutrogena has an ambassador until today's event. I'm sure not only me but there will be a lot of people will be getting knowing this Neutrogena thing because of this Karena, vice versa. FYI, Karena announced that she joined Neutrogena since this year. Before, Karena reached 1-u, the MC of the event, Jentzen had to come up with different games and calling people around to play games so that there wouldn't be any stage wait. Anyway, let the pictures speak!

Well, Jentzen is well-versed in Cantonese, Mandarin and also English.

What are they doing? The participants have to burst the balloon by using certain part of their body.

Participants showing their WHITE socks!

AND
